Compliance Manager

The Job:

As a Compliance Manager for an online casino with an Ontario license, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the casino operations adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive compliance program, monitoring the casino's activities, and implementing strategies to minimize regulatory risks. This position is vital in maintaining the casino's integrity, reputation, and continued legal operation within the province of Ontario.

Responsibilities:

• Stay up to date with Ontario's gaming laws, regulations, and guidelines, and ensure the casino's operations remain in full compliance.
• Implement and manage processes to meet all licensing requirements and obligations..
• Oversee the acquisition, renewal, and maintenance of the Ontario gaming license..
• Ensure all necessary documentation and fees are submitted in a timely manner..
• Develop and maintain internal compliance policies and procedures, keeping them aligned with regulatory requirements..
• Collaborate with legal counsel and other relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance policies are effective..
• Prepare and submit regular compliance reports to regulatory bodies, as required by Ontario's gaming regulations..
• Maintain records of compliance activities and reports for future audits..
• Coordinate and participate in compliance audits and inspections, both internal and external..
• Address and rectify any non-compliance issues identified during audits..
• Conduct compliance training for employees, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and the importance of adherence to regulations..
• Develop and implement ongoing training programs to keep staff informed about changing compliance requirements..
• Oversee and enhance responsible gaming initiatives, ensuring that the casino promotes a safe and secure gaming environment..
• Develop programs to identify and assist players at risk of problem gambling..
• Identify and assess potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them..
• Work with other departments to implement controls that minimize risk..
• Manage and conduct internal investigations regarding potential compliance violations or breaches..
• Work with relevant authorities when necessary..
• Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and liaise with them on compliance matters..
• Foster open communication with internal stakeholders to promote a culture of compliance..

Qualifications and Skills:

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., law, business, or compliance)..
• In-depth knowledge of Ontario's gaming laws and regulations..
• Proven experience in compliance management within the online casino industry..
